Department of Architecture’s education programme is organised around architectural design studies that are supported with required theoretical and practical courses, studio works and projects.
The Department of Architecture aims to educate prospective architects who desire to create beneficial art, applied science and technology and create and enhance the quality of human environment, and have internalised design and construction disciplines.
Architectural education requires an internship of 40 business days in total (20 business days in the construction site and the remaining 20 in the office), and culminates in an independent capstone project at the end of the 4th year.
This is a 4-year Programme and the medium of instruction is English. English Preparatory Programme is compulsory. If they pass the Placement and Proficiency Test, admitted students can be exempted from the, English Preparatory Programme and proceed to the first year of their Department.
There is also a Turkish-medium Department of Architecture. Click here for Architecture (Turkish).
