Mendeley Referans Management System

Mendeley is a free platform on which you can arrange your references while writing your articles, and you can easily access your documents by setting your own virtual library up on your computer. The application of Mendeley can be used not only on web but also on desktop and mobile. Participants can register on this platform themselves. Users are required to use our institution’s e-mail extension and log in to their e-mail at least once and click on the activation link that is sent to them. Users will have personal storage space of 100 GB.

Thanks to the Mendeley,

  • Results of the browsing made on databases can be transferred to Mendeley account, Subsequent to the initial transfer, selected ones can be added to the users’ own library.
  • Thanks to the Mendeley’ Importer extension that can be added to the browsers such as Mozilla and Chrome, the masthead of an article on any website can be automatically transferred.
  • Folders can be created on a Mendeley account, and materials downloaded can be put into these folders. These materials can be labelled and filtered, and you can search and add notes in the document.
  • In the Desktop program, the MS Word plugin in the Tools can be installed and citations and bibliographies can be added to the Word file in the desired format. There are over 8,000 formats. You can create your own format with Mendeley Citation Style Editor.
  • An academic social networking platform will be accessible. You can join public or private groups here, create new groups, and share your bibliography in these groups.
